About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential data platform organization seeking an AI Engineer - Forward Deployed Engineer for their London office. This is a highly specialized, customer-facing role where you'll build cutting-edge GenAI solutions and serve as a trusted technical advisor across diverse industries.
Our client's forward-deployed engineering team works at the intersection of professional services, product development, and AI research. You'll collaborate cross-functionally to shape strategic priorities while delivering production-grade AI applications that solve first-of-its-kind business problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy cutting-edge GenAI solutions incorporating the latest techniques in large language models, RAG, multi-agent systems, and fine-tuning
- Own production rollouts of consumer-facing and internal GenAI applications from conception through optimization
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers across various domains and industries
- Present technical concepts at industry conferences and act as a thought leader both internally and externally
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities and strategic initiatives
- Build and optimize production-grade machine learning deployments on cloud platforms
- Travel once every 4-8 weeks to customer sites as needed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience building GenAI applications including RAG systems, multi-agent frameworks, Text2SQL, and fine-tuning workflows using tools such as HuggingFace, LangChain, and DSPy
- Demonstrated expertise deploying production-grade GenAI applications with focus on evaluation frameworks and performance optimization
- Extensive hands-on industry data science experience leveraging pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and similar ML tooling
- Experience building production machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong ability to communicate and teach technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for collaboration, continuous learning, and driving measurable business value through AI
- Preferred: Experience with distributed data processing frameworks for large-scale datasets
- Willingness to travel periodically for customer engagements
