Talent Acquisition Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization in Berlin that is scaling rapidly following significant seed funding. Our client is building a comprehensive platform in the identity security space, and they need their first dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to build the entire recruitment function from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to own the end-to-end hiring engine at a high-growth startup, working directly with founders and shaping every aspect of how the company brings in talent across engineering, sales, and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruitment from brief through close, running lean and fast processes that respect candidates' time and move quickly to decisions
• Source exceptional talent through communities, events, referrals, and creative outreach strategies before competitors can reach them
• Deliver outstanding candidate experience that leaves every person impressed, whether hired or not
• Partner closely with founders and operations leadership to define role requirements, calibrate on excellence, and move decisively
• Build and strengthen employer brand visibility, ensuring the people-first culture is clear to candidates before they apply
• Manage ATS operations, maintain clean pipelines, and build reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into hiring progress and bottlenecks
• Support broader people operations initiatives including onboarding and employee experience as the team scales

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in talent acquisition or recruitment, ideally in-house at a startup or scale-up; agency background considered if you're ready to transition in-house
• Startup mindset with hunger to make things happen and drive true impact in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to manage high volume without losing focus
• Builder mentality energized by creating from scratch; lack of existing process motivates rather than frustrates you
• Strong instinct for reading people, communicating with clarity, and selling a compelling vision to candidates with multiple options
• Commercial awareness to credibly represent a growing startup to senior candidates asking hard questions
• Native or high-level German and fluent English, both used daily across hiring activities
• Comfortable with ATS platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin for this office-based role in the Hackescher Markt area
