Junior SEO Manager (m/w/d) – Customer Success Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital marketing organization seeking a Junior SEO Manager to join their customer success team. This is not a typical agency role with rigid hierarchies—you'll manage real client projects independently, control budgets, and see the direct impact of your strategic decisions. Our client specializes in search engine optimization campaigns and provides cutting-edge tools and AI-powered automation to help you focus on strategy rather than administrative tasks.

This position is based in Bonn-Ramersdorf with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office for collaboration and team engagement, 2 days working from home for focused execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage SEO campaigns by selecting appropriate publishers based on traffic metrics, domain authority, and topical relevance, allocating campaign budgets strategically for client success
• Take ownership of new clients after sales handoff, clarify priorities, guide onboarding processes, and build trusted advisor relationships
• Analyze performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and deliver regular, clear recommendations to clients in German
• Conduct morning dashboard reviews to monitor client performance, track ranking trends, and prioritize daily tasks
• Execute campaign steering activities including target page analysis and backlink publisher selection
• Lead client calls to discuss campaign progress, explain data insights in accessible language, and capture new objectives
• Perform quality control on active placements, document learnings systematically, and prepare niche analyses
• Leverage professional SEO tools and AI automation to streamline reporting and analysis workflows

What We're Looking For

• Initial experience in SEO, marketing, agency environments, e-commerce, or relevant digital studies/training
• Understanding of core SEO concepts including rankings, domain rating, backlinks, and content optimization—senior-level expertise not required, but genuine interest in digital marketing is essential
• Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for working with metrics and exploring productive applications of AI tools
• Strong communication skills with fluent, confident German language ability to explain complex topics in simple, engaging terms
• Comfort with data-driven decision making and technology-enabled workflows
• Self-motivated approach to managing independent client relationships and campaign budgets

Pay
