Fertigungssteuerer (m/w/x)

Zeissgroup is hiring a Fertigungssteuerer (m/w/x) for our manufacturing operations in Wetzlar, Germany. This is a full-time position offering a dynamic career in production planning and manufacturing control at one of the world's leading technology companies.

Position Summary

As a Fertigungssteuerer, you'll take a central role in orchestrating our manufacturing workflows, ensuring seamless production scheduling, and maintaining the highest quality standards. You'll collaborate across departments to optimize resource allocation, reduce bottlenecks, and drive manufacturing efficiency. Working at Zeissgroup's Wetzlar facility, you'll contribute directly to the precision and excellence our company is known for globally.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to meet delivery commitments and customer demand
• Analyze manufacturing data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Manage material flow, inventory levels, and supply chain coordination with production teams
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing regulations throughout all production stages
• Communicate production status, constraints, and forecasts to management and cross-functional teams
• Troubleshoot production delays and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing methodologies

Skills & Qualifications

• Completed vocational training (Berufsausbildung) or equivalent qualification in manufacturing, production, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing control, or a similar role
• Strong proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and production workflows
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Analytical mindset with comfort working with data and performance metrics
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Team player with strong communication and coordination abilities
