Healthcare Virtual Assistant (Mental Health Practice | Remote)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential mental health practice based in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Virtual Assistant to provide critical administrative support to their growing clinical team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Costa Rica.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming patient communications including phone calls, text messages, and callback requests
• Coordinate appointment scheduling across multiple providers and maintain calendar accuracy
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing patients
• Review and submit claims through the practice management system
• Support daily front-office operations and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in US healthcare settings
• Mental health or behavioral health practice experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification processes
• Required: hands-on experience with SimplePractice software
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills suitable for patient-facing interactions
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Coachable mindset and willingness to collaborate with remote teams
• Comfortable working with productivity monitoring tools as part of remote work requirements

Pay
