We are representing a confidential precision medicine organization at the forefront of AI-powered clinical analytics. Our client operates a collaborative external research network that connects leading academic institutions and health systems to accelerate data-driven research in oncology. Participants gain access to a cutting-edge analytics platform featuring de-identified, real-world multimodal data.

We're seeking a Medical Director to lead this research network program. You will drive research strategy, evidence generation, and education while serving as the primary medical liaison to participating institutions. This role requires cultivating relationships with academic and community physicians, guiding clinical investigations, and scaling research output through collaborative working groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary medical point of contact for partner institutions, building deep relationships with leading oncology physicians
• Foster research collaboration through structured working groups focused on high-impact evidence generation
• Travel up to 20% to provide on-site support, training, and relationship management at partner institutions
• Support researchers through the full lifecycle: hypothesis generation, data exploration, and publication strategy for high-impact scientific journals
• Shape clinical investigation strategies ensuring research is scientifically sound, clinically valuable, and aligned with current oncology standards
• Provide medical expertise and clinical context to internal data scientists, informaticians, and business development teams during external communications
• Engage partner sites with platform utilization, molecular tumor boards, data integration, and clinical trial portfolios
• Deliver polished, clinically oriented presentations to medical audiences

What We're Looking For

• MD/DO or MD/DO/PhD with strong background and clinical expertise in oncology or closely related field
• Experience directing multi-site observational projects, clinical registries, and precision medicine initiatives
• Deep familiarity with medical informatics, advanced clinical data modeling, biomarker evaluation, genomic testing, and real-world data applications
• Proven ability to build strong partnerships with medium- to large-sized cancer hospital networks
• Strong ability to translate complex molecular and technical data into clear, actionable clinical insights
• Experience with sales strategy and marketing for commercial life science initiatives preferred
• Innovative thinker capable of solving complex oncologic questions through data-driven approaches
