Territory Manager, Des Moines

About This Opportunity

We are a recruiting team representing a confidential consumer goods organization seeking a Territory Manager for the Des Moines area. This role involves managing retail partnerships, merchandising, and sales execution across a defined geographic territory. You must reside in or relocate to Des Moines.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and distribution within your assigned geography, including merchandising activities
• Build and maintain relationships with retail partners, advising on promotions, inventory management, and pricing strategies
• Execute sales fundamentals including presence, pricing, promotion, and product positioning to drive results
• Develop and implement a local business plan to meet territory objectives by identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing retail opportunities
• Consult with retail partners on category management and business analytics to improve their performance
• Use data analysis, brand marketing insights, and pre-call planning to improve business outcomes
• Track, measure, and analyze progress against key initiatives and business metrics using established systems
• Utilize analytic tools to evaluate market opportunities and drive business performance
• Execute all account management responsibilities for assigned chain and distribution headquarters accounts
• Participate in ongoing training to develop leadership potential

What We're Looking For

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous marketing-focused experience, preferably in sales, field marketing, or B2B environments
• Proficiency with sales technologies such as Salesforce and Tableau for data analysis and insights
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally to develop account relationships
• Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing for the last 3 years
• Reliable personal vehicle available for daily work use
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Bachelor's degree or 1-3 years of meaningful field sales experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to climb and work from heights ranging from 9 to 12 feet
• Ability to access and work in limited and confined spaces
• Ability to visually inspect and manipulate merchandise and displays
• Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Ability to drive up to 100 miles per day
