Forward Deployed Engineer – Berlin

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded, early-stage technology company in the marketing automation space. Our client is building AI-powered solutions that help businesses optimize their digital marketing performance. They are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their Berlin team and serve as the technical backbone of their managed service operations.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and client success. You will be responsible for implementing performance marketing tracking, integrating commerce features, debugging and optimizing landing pages, and serving as the primary technical contact for clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and direct client impact.

Responsibilities

• Set up, implement, and test conversion tracking systems on landing pages to ensure accurate performance measurement
• Integrate purchase and checkout features so customers can complete transactions directly on landing pages; wire up forms, payment flows, and webhooks
• Debug, polish, and fine-tune landing pages, including front-end fixes, responsive design issues, layout adjustments, and page speed optimization
• Serve as the technical point of contact for clients via Slack; troubleshoot issues, communicate clearly and proactively, and own problems through to resolution
• Stay current with evolving tracking tools, integrations, and platforms; automate repetitive tasks wherever possible

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Front-end coding experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; ability to build and edit responsive interfaces
• Hard-working, smart, and humble; you take ownership and solve problems until they are resolved
• Fluent written English with strong communication skills; comfortable supporting clients directly over Slack with clarity, patience, and proactive updates
• Fast learner and problem-solver excited to pick up performance marketing tracking and new tools quickly
• Junior candidates are welcome—we value raw ability and drive over years of experience

Nice to Have:

• Experience with performance marketing tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, or other advertising platform pixels
• Experience integrating Shopify or other checkout and payment flows
• Previous experience in marketing, ad technology, or agency/consulting environments

Technical Environment: Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, advertising platform pixels, Shopify, checkout and payment systems, forms, webhooks, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Slack, and other collaboration tools.

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €60,000 – €80,000 per year, depending on experience.
