Senior Product Manager (Document Verification)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential identity verification technology company in their search for a Senior Product Manager focused on document verification systems. This is a technical product role at the intersection of machine learning, fraud prevention, and enterprise B2B delivery.

Our client operates a high-scale verification platform serving fintech, marketplace, mobility, and government sectors across global markets. The document verification product you'll own is fundamentally an ML system handling classification, data extraction, fraud detection, and spoofing prevention across thousands of document types and writing systems—with human-in-the-loop components for complex cases.

You will bridge two critical stakeholder groups: machine learning engineers building detection models, and enterprise customers with demanding requirements around accuracy, latency, and edge-case handling. Your core responsibility is translating technical trade-offs into measurable business outcomes.

Location: Estonia or Spain

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for physical document verification—covering accuracy improvements, document coverage expansion, fraud detection enhancements, and conversion optimization
• Partner with data scientists and ML engineers on model development: frame problems, define success metrics, and prioritize work that drives customer outcomes
• Make real-time trade-off decisions balancing accuracy, user conversion, processing latency, and infrastructure cost against live enterprise contracts
• Represent the technical product in customer engagements: lead deep-dive sessions, answer detailed accuracy questions credibly, and set honest expectations when capabilities don't yet exist
• Collaborate with operations teams managing human review workflows and annotation teams producing training data for models
• Coordinate across product marketing, legal/privacy, analytics, and go-to-market functions to launch and scale new capabilities

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 4+ years of end-to-end B2B or B2B2C product management experience, ideally in identity verification, computer vision, fraud systems, or high-throughput ML products
• ML fluency: you don't build models, but you understand precision/recall trade-offs, loss functions, and how classification thresholds impact user conversion rates
• Technical independence: ability to write SQL queries, debug data pipelines, and conduct root-cause analysis without waiting for analyst support
• Customer credibility: comfort leading technical conversations with enterprise clients during system failures or when explaining difficult trade-offs
• Experience thriving in scale-up environments with high ambiguity, fast pace, and shifting priorities
• Fluent English, written and verbal

Especially valuable:

• Direct experience in identity verification, document security, computer vision, or fraud detection
• Familiarity with regulated industries such as finance, mobility, or government technology
• Prior software engineering or data science background
• Degree in a quantitative field
