Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a Business Development Manager to own new client acquisition across the DACH region. You will identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities in manufacturing, technology, financial services, and enterprise sectors undergoing digital transformation and AI adoption programmes.
In this role, you will manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and close. You'll collaborate with technical teams to design tailored, value-based offerings for the German market and lead pre-sales engagements alongside solution architects. Building and managing strategic partnerships with major cloud and technology providers will be central to your success.
Your day-to-day will include preparing commercial proposals and presentations, managing RFI/RFP processes, maintaining a disciplined CRM pipeline, and delivering against revenue targets. You'll represent our client at industry events and executive meetings throughout the region.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years in B2B business development, sales, or key account management within IT services, consulting, or enterprise technology
- Hunter mindset with proven ability to create new relationships and open new accounts from scratch
- Strong understanding of software development, cloud infrastructure, and AI technologies
- Experience with value-based and consultative selling of complex professional services
- Deep familiarity with German enterprise buying culture and procurement processes
- Native-level German language skills
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Structured, self-directed approach with ability to work autonomously and build market presence
Preferred:
- Existing professional network in manufacturing, technology, or financial services sectors
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks including CRA, NIS2, and EU AI Act
- Previous experience at hyperscaler organizations, consultancies, or professional services firms
- Strong communication skills, proactive mindset, technical curiosity, and ability to build long-term strategic relationships
