Forward Deployed Engineer, CE (Evergreen)

This role sits at the critical intersection of engineering, client operations, and high-stakes problem-solving. You will embed directly within client environments to deliver production-grade technical solutions that address complex challenges in areas such as risk analytics, data intelligence, and secure operations.

This is not traditional sales engineering. You will write code, architect data pipelines, integrate APIs, and brief senior stakeholders—all while operating with extreme ownership in ambiguous, mission-critical scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Deploy directly into client technical ecosystems and build production-grade solutions using Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs
• Lead the complete technical lifecycle of strategic deployments from discovery through implementation and operationalization
• Serve as the primary technical authority for clients, conducting deep-dive workshops and debugging complex systems
• Architect scalable data models and workflows, including pipelines into cloud data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks
• Translate real-world operational requirements into engineering solutions and product enhancements
• Build custom integrations, develop Python applications, and prototype analytical solutions
• Travel up to 30% to client sites across the United States

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years in a client-facing technical role (forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or sales engineering)
• Strong proficiency writing clean, production-ready Python code and working with data manipulation libraries like Pandas
• Deep fluency writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Hands-on experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both engineers and business leaders
• Proven problem-solving abilities in ambiguous, complex scenarios
• Intellectual curiosity and comfort learning new technologies rapidly
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field strongly preferred

Desired:

• Experience with Large Language Models, including prompting and API integration
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, Prefect)
• Knowledge of graph databases (Neo4j, TigerGraph) and query languages
• Machine learning exposure, particularly NLP or entity resolution
• Background or passion for domains such as financial crime, supply chain risk, or security analytics

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $160,000–$180,000 USD base salary, plus commission and equity. Final compensation is determined by location, experience, and internal equity considerations.
