About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential trading firm seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their technology infrastructure group in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud platforms supporting high-performance trading operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure to support trading systems and analytics platforms
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code solutions for cloud resource provisioning and management
- Optimize cloud performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across multiple environments
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of applications
- Maintain security best practices and compliance standards across cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in fast-paced production environments
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and system architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
