Workday Financials Senior Principal Consultant, Record to Report – Global AMS

We are representing a confidential technology services organization seeking a Workday Financials Senior Principal Consultant specializing in Record to Report processes. This role supports enterprise clients through Application Managed Services (AMS), combining deep functional expertise with hands-on leadership in a fast-paced post-production environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onshore functional lead for Workday Financials, with specific focus on Record to Report processes across assigned accounts
• Execute AMS and implementation methodologies for Workday Financials engagements, ensuring adherence to service level agreements
• Collaborate with global delivery teams on daily activities, incident management, root cause analysis, and work requests
• Lead a team of Workday consultants across multiple client engagements, managing priorities and deliverables
• Maintain the Workday platform including reporting (scheduled reports), business process configuration, security administration, data loads, and audits
• Proactively develop reporting dashboards to improve platform utilization and support business metrics
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues impacting project scope or timelines
• Drive continuous business process improvements and operational efficiency
• Provide on-call support and holiday coverage as required
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Certification: Workday Financials certification required
• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in Workday report writing and analytics
• Deep knowledge of Record to Report processes within Workday Financials
• Experience with managed services constructs and SLA-driven delivery models
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements concurrently
• Strong analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex incidents and recommend best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
• Customer-focused mindset with willingness to go the extra mile
• Ability to ensure system design aligns with business user needs
