About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential engineering organization active in rail infrastructure projects across southern Germany. Our client seeks a technical document manager to coordinate project documentation, ensure compliance with revision processes, and maintain structured information flow across internal and external stakeholders.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Mannheim with up to 95% remote work. Occasional on-site presence in southern Germany is required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate document management workflows within infrastructure projects and manage cross-functional interfaces
- Maintain and monitor document requirement lists, tracking processing status and delivery deadlines
- Ensure adherence to defined revision and approval processes across all technical documentation
- Review technical documents for completeness, structure, and traceability
- Manage digital filing systems in SharePoint, maintaining clear and current project structures
- Support technical departments and external partners with documentation-related queries and follow up on outstanding deliverables
- Prepare status reports and communicate project progress to relevant stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree or technical qualification in electrical engineering, energy systems, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
- Minimum one year of hands-on experience in technical document management, ideally within infrastructure, plant construction, energy, or substation projects
- Strong understanding of requirement lists and revision/approval workflows
- Solid knowledge of managing and quality-assuring technical documentation
- Proficient use of SharePoint and MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal and external project participants
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to work remotely with occasional travel to project sites in southern Germany
