About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing activewear and lifestyle brand in their search for an exceptional Head of Social to join their London team. Our client is a female-led organisation at the forefront of the sustainable fashion movement, known for their highly engaged social community and cultural relevance.

Reporting to the Brand Marketing Director, you will define and drive the organic social strategy across key platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll balance creativity with data-driven commercial thinking, leading a talented social and content creation team to build brand awareness, drive growth and keep the brand ahead of cultural conversations.

You'll work cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Performance, Influencer, PR, Product and Ecommerce teams, ensuring social media is fully integrated into the wider marketing strategy and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the organic social strategy across all key channels, setting clear objectives, audience targeting, content pillars and KPIs
• Identify and execute growth opportunities to increase social audience, reach, engagement and community strength
• Lead the social planning process, ensuring the content calendar aligns with business, brand, product and customer priorities
• Set strategic direction for content creation, providing clear briefs to the team and ensuring output is distinctive, relevant and effective
• Engineer viral moments by thinking beyond existing formats to create stop-and-look content that captures attention and drives conversation
• Stay ahead of social, cultural and platform trends, identifying authentic opportunities for brand participation that drive meaningful reach
• Partner with Marketing and Creative leadership on campaign strategy, developing channel-specific rollout plans for launches
• Own social performance analysis, turning data into actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
• Develop and implement test-and-learn approaches across formats, platforms, creators and ways of working
• Lead, develop and inspire the social and content team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performing culture
• Collaborate closely with Performance Marketing to create an effective boosting strategy
• Maintain overall channel health, ensuring content consistency and brand alignment while empowering team execution
• Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting with strategic insights and recommended actions for the business
• Keep the organisation ahead of social evolution, from new platforms to emerging creator communities and behaviours

What We're Looking For

• Significant professional social media experience within fast-moving fashion, beauty, lifestyle or consumer brands
• Proven track record of developing and delivering social strategies that drove measurable audience and brand growth
• Demonstrated success working closely with Creative teams and senior stakeholders
• Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok, with working knowledge of Pinterest and LinkedIn
• Highly analytical and commercially minded, able to interpret data and create strategic recommendations
• Strong grasp of social culture, trends, formats and what makes content travel organically
• Experience managing and developing teams, with ability to set direction and inspire creativity
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills across multiple departments
• Highly organised with excellent project management capabilities in fast-moving environments
• Comfortable working in a start-up setting: lean operations, quick decisions, resourceful problem-solving
• Equally comfortable operating strategically and diving into details when required
• Driven, ambitious and solution-oriented with genuine passion for finding growth opportunities
• Understanding of sustainable fashion and activewear markets is advantageous
