Senior Business Intelligence Lead (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential mobility-tech client in München seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Lead to establish a trusted, shared data foundation across the organization.

In this role, you will own the certified data layer—the single source of truth for all core business metrics. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Engineering, and Platform teams to define, agree upon, and maintain consistent KPIs and data contracts.

Your day-to-day work includes:

• Defining and documenting core metrics with business stakeholders across departments
• Maintaining and verifying the certified data layer built in ETL tools and surfaced in BI platforms
• Using SQL to validate data, investigate inconsistencies, and trace metrics back to their sources
• Collaborating with Platform teams to identify improvements in data flows, pipelines, and transformations
• Resolving conflicts when reports disagree—you decide which number to trust
• Improving data literacy through practical guidance, workshops, and clear documentation
• Leveraging AI-assisted tools for analysis, documentation, and automation while carefully validating results

This is not a role where you become the bottleneck for every dashboard request. Teams remain responsible for their own analyses and dashboards built on the foundation you provide. This is also not a classic infrastructure or people-management position.

What We're Looking For

Must-have qualifications:

• Senior-level experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, or data roles; scale-up experience is beneficial
• Strong SQL skills—you can read, write, validate data, and trace where numbers originate
• Experience defining KPIs collaboratively with Finance and other business owners
• Hands-on experience with data models, data quality, or data governance
• Solid understanding of data flows, pipelines, and transformations
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and challenging unclear or incorrect metrics
• A hands-on, business-minded approach that connects business questions with practical data solutions
• Experience with automation, AI agents, or AI-supported workflows
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with Metabase, dbt, AWS Glue, Spark, Airbyte, or comparable tools
• Background facilitating workshops, enablement sessions, or data literacy programs
• Experience in B2B SaaS, mobility, energy, or related fields

You do not need every tool on the list. We care most about strong SQL, sound data thinking, and the ability to bring people to one shared definition.

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process with Get A Job.ai based on your experience and the client's budget.
