Aaamidatlantic is hiring a full-time Automotive General Service Technician in Columbus, OH 43230. You'll perform diagnostic work, routine maintenance, and repairs on passenger vehicles while maintaining our high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

About the Role

As an Automotive General Service Technician with Aaamidatlantic in Columbus, you'll be the backbone of our service operation. This is a hands-on position where you'll work with a range of vehicles, addressing everything from routine maintenance to complex mechanical issues. You'll use diagnostic equipment and your technical expertise to keep our customers' vehicles running safely and reliably. Core Duties

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic equipment and hand tools
• Perform scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations
• Repair and replace components such as brakes, belts, batteries, alternators, and other vehicle systems
• Inspect vehicles for safety issues and recommend repairs to customers
• Document work performed and parts used in service records
• Test repaired vehicles to verify proper operation before customer delivery
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about repair status and recommendations
• Keep work area organized and maintain tool inventory

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or service mechanic
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brake, and suspension
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow repair procedures
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
