Zendesk is seeking a Senior Director, Technology Alliances to join our leadership team in San Francisco, California, United States of America. This full-time role is pivotal in building and scaling strategic technology partnerships that strengthen our platform ecosystem.
Role Overview
As Senior Director of Technology Alliances at Zendesk, you'll lead the vision and execution of our technology partnership strategy. You'll be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and nurturing relationships with key technology partners that enhance our customer value proposition. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, positioning you at the intersection of business development, product strategy, and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology alliances strategy aligned with Zendesk's business objectives and market opportunities
- Identify, evaluate, and establish partnerships with complementary technology providers to expand platform capabilities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful integration and go-to-market execution of alliance initiatives
- Build and manage relationships with senior executives at partner organizations, negotiating terms and driving mutual value creation
- Oversee the development of joint solutions, marketing programs, and customer enablement initiatives with technology partners
- Monitor partnership performance, measure ROI, and optimize alliance portfolio to drive business impact
- Represent Zendesk in the technology ecosystem, building credibility and influence within strategic markets and partner communities
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in technology partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances at a senior level
- Track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and launching technology partnerships that drove measurable business results
- Deep understanding of the software and technology landscape, with strong knowledge of complementary solutions and market dynamics
- Excellent leadership capabilities with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think both long-term and execute on near-term objectives
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage executives and technical stakeholders
