About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential government contracting firm seeking a Senior Java Developer for a remote position supporting federal programs. This role requires a Public Trust clearance and offers the opportunity to work on systems that serve important civic missions.
As a Senior Java Developer, you'll architect and build secure web applications using modern Java frameworks, working with cloud infrastructure and enterprise-grade authentication systems. This is a fully remote position within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop web applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain backend services for profile management, SSN lookup, data validation, and synchronization
- Integrate applications with AWS services including API Gateway, RDS, S3, and messaging platforms
- Connect with external authentication systems while ensuring security and compliance
- Ensure applications meet enterprise security standards and ATO requirements
- Design scalable architectures with robust error handling and logging capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integration strategies
- Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of professional Java development experience
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework
- Proven experience with REST API development and design
- Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native development approaches
- Strong understanding of application security principles and authentication mechanisms
- Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one
