US Audience Growth Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nonprofit organization seeking a US Audience Growth Consultant for a strategic social media engagement. This is a senior-level, results-oriented consulting assignment focused on expanding US-based audiences across global social media platforms and executing targeted growth campaigns.

Location: Remote within the United States, preferably EST timezone
Duration: 6-month contract, approximately 100 consultant days
Structure: Monthly invoicing against deliverable progress

Responsibilities

You will lead audience growth strategy and execution for US-based followers across Instagram and Facebook channels, working closely with a global communications team. Key deliverables include:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive US audience growth plan targeting measurable KPIs including 20% follower growth in the 25-45 age segment
• Produce at least 15 content pieces monthly, including short-form video, copy, and visual assets optimized for US audiences while maintaining global brand consistency
• Establish and apply a content review protocol to assess incoming global content (approximately 5 pieces weekly) for cultural alignment and performance potential with US audiences
• Set up, manage, and optimize paid social advertising campaigns (Meta Ads) to support follower growth objectives, monitoring CPM, CPC, CTR, conversion rates, and ROAS
• Conduct A/B and message testing projects, including at least one focused campaign on energy affordability messaging
• Analyze engagement and growth metrics using platform analytics and social listening tools, delivering regular findings and strategic recommendations
• Coordinate with digital engagement colleagues on audience segmentation, content production, and publishing schedules
• Monitor US cultural discourse, platform algorithm updates, and creative trends to deliver proactive content strategy recommendations
• Support crisis communication protocols relevant to US audiences and platforms
• Deliver a final recommendations report covering priority audience segments, key messages, and data-driven best practices

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Senior-level experience in social media strategy with a demonstrated track record of driving measurable audience growth
• Tech-savvy approach with proven experience adapting to platform algorithm changes and leveraging creative trends for performance improvements
• Hands-on content creation and publishing experience for Instagram and Facebook, including copy, graphics, and short-form video; proficiency with Canva required
• Direct experience setting up, managing, and evaluating paid social advertising campaigns with fluency in core performance metrics (CPM, CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate)
• Proficiency with audience insight and social listening tools (Google Trends/Insights, Junkipedia, Brandwatch, or similar platforms)
• Proven senior experience in crisis communication and rapid response situations
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate performance data into actionable strategy and concrete content outputs
• Excellent writing skills in English with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and voice across audience segments

Desirable:

• Experience with advocacy, campaigning, or nonprofit communications
• Spanish as a secondary language
