Senior Java Full Stack Developer

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology consulting organization seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer for a 100% remote position based in the United States. This is a direct-hire, full-time W2 opportunity with significant career growth potential in a well-established enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for building and maintaining production-grade enterprise applications within a modern technology stack. Your work will include:

• Designing and implementing clean, scalable RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Developing front-end applications using React and potentially other modern frameworks
• Architecting and operating microservices with attention to service decomposition, communication patterns, and observability
• Working with relational databases including query optimization and schema design
• Deploying and managing applications on major cloud platforms
• Participating in CI/CD workflows, code reviews, and release management processes
• Troubleshooting complex system issues and documenting root-cause analyses
• Contributing to test-driven development practices and automation frameworks

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related technical field
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years building production enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
• Advanced proficiency with Java (versions 11 and 17) and Spring Boot framework
• Production experience designing and operating microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with React for front-end development
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Solid experience with CI/CD tooling and Git-based workflows
• Practical cloud deployment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of distributed system design patterns including eventual consistency and saga patterns
• Familiarity with Angular or Vue frameworks
• Experience with behavior-driven development practices
