About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an AWS DevOps Specialist for a full-time remote position based in the United States. Our talent team is looking for a skilled professional with deep AWS expertise and a strong background in CI/CD automation to support enterprise-scale applications.
This is a long-term engagement requiring overlap with New York business hours (approximately 6 hours per day during EST working hours). The ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible and collaborate with an agile development team on microservices deployments.
Responsibilities
- Work within an agile team to implement process automation for modern platform applications
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS services
- Automate code builds and deployments with integrated automated QA gates
- Implement process tracking and monitor application performance in AWS cloud environments
- Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines across DEV, QA, and PROD environments aligned with industry standards
- Continuously monitor and record configuration changes of AWS resources
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting application build and deployment in AWS cloud environments
- Deep understanding of core DevOps practices including Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployment, and Continuous Monitoring
- Experience integrating DevOps workflows with automated testing and deployment verification
- Proficiency in scripting languages and databases: Python, Terraform, MongoDB, Redis
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS, ELB/ALB, Security Groups, Route53, IAM, KMS, Cognito, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store, Lambda, SES, SNS, SQS
- Experience with Docker container implementation and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with various branching strategies, pull request workflows, GIT commands, and Bash scripting
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work 6 hours per day during New York business hours (EST)
- Immediate or near-immediate availability preferred
