About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Software Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This remote role is based in Colombia and requires working Monday–Friday, 9–5 EST/EDT, with potential on-call support.
You'll contribute to a platform that processes large volumes of cross-border financial data, helping enterprise clients make strategic business decisions through analytics and insights. This is a chance to influence technical direction, raise engineering standards, and build features that directly impact how organizations understand international payments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications
- Build performant, component-driven user interfaces using the established design system
- Improve performance and observability across services and applications
- Enhance team productivity through automation, process improvements, and adoption of new technologies
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders across the organization
- Participate in code reviews and help establish quality standards for the team
What We're Looking For
Required skills:
- Strong proficiency writing Golang services and web application backends
- Experience deploying applications in Docker containers
- Proven ability building componentized frontends in React and TypeScript
- Solid SQL skills with focus on performance
- Understanding of clean code principles and language idioms for TypeScript and Go
- Ability to quickly learn new business domains and products
- Clear communication skills when discussing complex technical topics
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and skill development
Bonus experience:
- Concurrent programming patterns (goroutines)
- CI/CD pipeline development, particularly GitLab CI
- Observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- AI tools for productivity enhancement
- MaterialUI, Airflow, Python, or Terraform
- MariaDB, Clickhouse, or AWS environments
