Software Developer Intern (Dublin)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global ecommerce organization in their search for a Software Developer Intern to join their Dublin team. Our client operates in the digital content space and offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment where interns work alongside talented developers and testers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment with flexible working arrangements and mentorship from experienced engineering professionals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and testers to deliver software features and improvements
• Contribute to both front-end and back-end development tasks using modern web technologies
• Participate in the full software delivery lifecycle from development through testing
• Work with databases and ensure data integrity in application features
• Use source control systems to manage code and collaborate with team members
• Take ownership of assigned tasks while contributing to team objectives

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Experience with React for front-end development
• Previous experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java
• Understanding of T-SQL databases
• Proficiency with web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Knowledge of source control systems such as Git or TFS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team while managing independent tasks
• Genuine passion for software development and delivery

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of server-side web technologies such as Web API and MVC
• Experience using ORM frameworks like NHibernate or Entity Framework
