About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology client seeking a Working Student for Export Control & Trade Compliance in Munich. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of international trade, export control, and daily operations in a fast-paced, international environment. You'll work closely with colleagues across sales, procurement, and logistics from day one on real-world cases.

Responsibilities

  • Answer daily questions from departments such as sales, procurement, and logistics regarding export control processes and compliance steps
  • Support the preparation and development of export license applications to German federal authorities (BAFA)
  • Conduct research on export licenses, sanctions, goods classifications, and country-specific restrictions prior to planned exports
  • Analyze and document past export and customs data for risk analysis and preparation of internal and external audits
  • Create, review, and independently manage end-use certificates for customers, suppliers, and authorities

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Currently enrolled student (all genders) in Business Law, Law, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or comparable field
  • Basic understanding of or strong interest in German and European export control law, particularly AWG/AWV and EU Dual-Use Regulation
  • Enjoyment in explaining complex regulations clearly and supporting colleagues in a solution-oriented manner
  • Very careful, structured, and independent working style
  • Fluent German and very good English language skills

Nice to Have:

  • Initial practical experience in export control, customs, compliance, or foreign trade through internships or working student positions
