Senior Manager Logistics & Supply Chain (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential semiconductor technology organization based in Aachen, Germany. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead the logistics and supply chain function for a growing company at a critical inflection point as they transition toward full-scale production.

We are seeking a Senior Manager to take ownership of logistics operations and infrastructure. You will balance hands-on execution with strategic development, establishing the processes, compliance frameworks, and team capabilities needed to support advanced manufacturing operations. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape how supply chain operations are designed from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the logistics team and warehouse operations, providing both functional and disciplinary leadership
• Ensure reliable day-to-day logistics operations across domestic and international transportation, shipping, and distribution
• Develop and optimize end-to-end supply chain processes covering warehousing, receiving, inventory management, transportation, shipping, and production support
• Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, cost performance, and delivery reliability, including ERP system rollout and establishing best practices
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across production, engineering, procurement, and other business functions to ensure reliable material and information flow
• Own dangerous goods handling and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to ADR, IATA, IMDG, and all relevant legal requirements
• Embed compliance as an integral part of logistics and supply chain processes from the outset

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, import/export, or manufacturing operations
• At least 4 years of disciplinary leadership and people management experience, ideally with responsibility for teams of 5+ employees
• Experience in a startup/scale-up environment or complex corporate organization, ideally in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or another highly regulated industry
• Deep expertise in supply chain management, material flow, inventory management, production support, and import/export regulations
• Strong hands-on experience with WMS and ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus
• Proven expertise in dangerous goods regulations, German regulatory requirements, and compliance; cleanroom logistics experience is a plus
• Pragmatic leadership mindset with strategic thinking, strong problem-solving abilities, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent German language skills (minimum C1 level) and good English (minimum B2 level)
