Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential public-sector client in München seeking an experienced Account Manager for a 12-month parental leave cover starting November 2026. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for an established client relationship, managing both strategic consultation and day-to-day operations.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Managing client relationships for a long-standing public sector account, serving as the main liaison between our talent team and the client organization
- Developing and maintaining editorial calendars, overseeing content creation from conception through publication across multiple social media channels including LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram
- Coordinating project workflows and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders
- Publishing finalized content on social media platforms and monitoring performance
- Providing professional, empathetic client consultation and serving as a strategic sparring partner
- Finding solutions to complex requests that extend beyond day-to-day operations
- Staying current on industry trends and the competitive landscape, bringing innovative ideas to the team
- Independently managing and developing editorial plans using project management tools like Monday
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate brings:
- A completed degree in Political Science, Marketing, Digital Communication, or a comparable vocational qualification in a relevant field
- 2-4 years of professional experience in social media and digital marketing, ideally on both agency and client sides
- Genuine passion for political topics and communication, with knowledge of political processes, issues, and stakeholders in Bavaria and Germany
- Strong project management skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, manage detailed workflows, and act as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with the political environment (political parties, parliamentary groups, ministries, representative offices) is a significant plus
- Proficiency with social media tools and enthusiasm for staying current with trending platforms
- Experience creating graphics and visual formats using tools like Canva
- Strong PowerPoint skills for creating compelling, modern presentations
- Excellent language skills and communication abilities in both German and English
- Willingness to take ownership and actively contribute to portfolio growth
- Interest in using AI to enhance efficiency and expand your toolkit
