Senior Frontend Engineer

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization that partners with Tier 1 banks and insurance companies across Europe. Our client specializes in AI-driven financial crime prevention, including fraud detection, AML, and KYC solutions. This is your chance to build the frontend user experiences that power enterprise AI systems protecting millions of customers and substantial financial assets.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll design and implement intuitive, scalable interfaces for complex AI-powered platforms used by leading financial institutions. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive, scalable web applications for AI-powered enterprise platforms
• Translate product requirements, wireframes, and UX designs into high-quality frontend implementations
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain consistent design patterns across complex applications
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, WebSockets, and real-time AI model responses
• Optimize application performance, rendering efficiency, and client-side state management for complex user journeys
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and accessibility compliance across devices and platforms
• Establish and uphold frontend coding standards, write component and integration tests, and participate in code reviews
• Integrate applications with cloud-hosted services and APIs (AWS experience strongly preferred)

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5–10 years of experience in frontend engineering
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks, especially React
• Experience building responsive, performant, and maintainable web applications at scale
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and state management
• Experience integrating with backend services, authentication flows, and secure enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Prior engagement in large-scale enterprise environments and mission-critical systems
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Must be located in an EU member country (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Vue or Angular
• Experience in fintech or financial services
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and design systems
