Senior Python Developer (w/m/d) – Remote

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in the renewable energy sector. Our client is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their in-house development team on a remote or hybrid basis. In this role, you'll take ownership of feature development, provide architectural guidance to teammates, and contribute to a platform that serves thousands of users across Germany.

This is a full-time or part-time position available immediately, with flexibility to work remotely or from offices in Frankfurt am Main or Freiburg.

Responsibilities

• Shape the entire software development lifecycle from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Plan and design technical implementations for new product features
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through your code contributions, code reviews, and creative problem-solving
• Serve as a technical point of contact for the development team and product owner on architectural questions
• Mentor colleagues and enable them to tackle new technical challenges
• Contribute to robust, customer-focused feature delivery in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 8 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years building web applications
• Excellent programming skills and strong technical understanding
• Experience with the following technologies is highly desirable: Django, Litestar, Redis, PostgreSQL
• Deep understanding of software architecture patterns and principles
• Ideally, knowledge of DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes) and managed cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Interest in staying current with emerging trends and state-of-the-art technologies
• Fluent German proficiency (business language requirement)
• Comfortable writing technical documentation in English
• Enthusiasm for contributing to sustainable energy solutions
