Azure Stack HCI Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an Azure Stack HCI Engineer to manage and support their hybrid cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will:

• Manage, maintain, and support Azure Stack HCI infrastructure, including creation, deployment, and administration of virtual machines, storage, and networking components
• Monitor system performance and perform troubleshooting and resolution for infrastructure issues
• Ensure all deployments meet security standards and compliance requirements by implementing access controls, firewalls, and encryption
• Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including regular testing and verification of procedures
• Document system configurations, procedures, changes, and maintain records of performance, issues, and resolutions
• Provide technical consultation to other IT teams, business units, and management
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects and initiatives across departments
• Participate in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
• Respond to outages and incidents as needed

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering with focus on Azure Stack HCI or similar technologies
• In-depth understanding of Azure Stack HCI, hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization, storage, and networking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Storage Spaces Direct
• Experience with HCI architecture and design tools and technologies
• Familiarity with Azure services and related Microsoft technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills for Azure Stack HCI environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
• Willingness to stay current with latest developments in Azure Stack HCI and related technologies

Preferred:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Stack HCI certifications
