About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential international organization seeking a Senior Kafka Specialist for a long-term remote contract engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data infrastructure professional to work on critical synchronization and integration projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop Kafka consumer applications and streams to perform bi-directional synchronization between Oracle, Kafka, and MongoDB systems
- Extract data from Oracle databases to Kafka topics using Kafka Connect and Change Data Capture technologies
- Perform ETL operations to transform topics into appropriate target structures
- Load transformed data as MongoDB documents and manage reverse synchronization flows from MongoDB back to Oracle
- Create comprehensive tests to validate that delivered code meets all requirements
- Support development and production teams through knowledge transfer and training
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in Software Development, Linux System Administration, or DevOps roles
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and managing solutions using Apache Kafka
- Proven experience converting monolithic applications into microservices architectures
- Strong background with DevOps and CI/CD techniques including Jenkins, Git, and Docker
- Deep knowledge of Kafka components and the Kafka security model
- Ability to train and mentor development and production teams
- Team player with a positive, solution-driven mentality
- Fluency in English is required
