Einkauf Werkstudent (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in Hamburg seeking a working student to support procurement and category operations. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of the team, working 16-20 hours per week to maintain product availability and optimize digital storefront performance.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Product Creation & Onboarding: Create and set up new products in the system, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and customer-ready from day one.
• Tool Support & Validation: Support the implementation and use of automation tools. Serve as a quality control checkpoint, critically reviewing processes and validating system outputs for accuracy.
• Product Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales and inventory anomalies closely. When priority items show low sales or availability issues, investigate system causes to maximize revenue from digital shelves.
• Content & Storefront Optimization: React quickly to incomplete product presentations that hinder sales by resolving missing product photos or incomplete item information in customer-facing systems.
• Supply Chain & Inbound Coordination: Support the team with daily commercial supply chain questions and resolve product delivery issues to ensure smooth operations across your categories.
• Team Collaboration: Provide strong operational support across various priority levels, working hand-in-hand with the category team to balance daily tasks effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a Master's program in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a comparable field.
• Sharp attention to detail, strong logical thinking skills, and natural curiosity to look behind the scenes and solve operational challenges.
• Excellent organizational abilities, proactive attitude toward taking ownership, and comfort managing daily workflows.
• Genuine affinity for the food retail industry and enthusiasm for working with new software and automated systems.
• Availability to support the team for 16-20 hours per week.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Pay

Our client offers €14.75/hour for Bachelor students and €15.50/hour for Master students. This position is a working student role with flexible hours in a modern Hamburg office environment.
