Product Owner – Communications Channels & AI

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential audio and communications technology organisation in their search for a Product Owner to lead their technical product portfolio, including cloud telephony, AI receptionist services, and customer contact platforms.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in Manchester, working Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, design and ongoing performance of cloud telephony, AI receptionist and contact centre products
• Set and maintain a prioritised product roadmap that balances client value, technical feasibility, commercial return and operational capacity
• Define product standards, service models and client journeys that teams can execute consistently
• Lead the evolution of AI receptionist capabilities across horizontal features and vertical use cases
• Partner with commercial and creative teams to ensure product coherence across the full portfolio
• Define client experience across onboarding, configuration, usage, renewal and offboarding
• Own commercial performance including pricing, cost-to-serve, gross margin and revenue metrics
• Manage third-party reseller partnerships with clear pricing, service and margin controls
• Work with technical and operations teams to define standards, SLAs and support models for each product
• Maintain governance for launch decisions, technical dependencies and client escalations
• Build structured feedback loops with customer success, sales and technical teams to identify product improvement opportunities
• Monitor product performance across adoption, usage, NPS, retention and operational metrics

What We're Looking For

• Proven product ownership experience in technical or platform products
• Strong background in cloud communications, telephony systems or AI-powered customer service tools
• Ability to translate client needs and technology capabilities into scalable product roadmaps
• Commercial acumen including pricing strategy, margin management and investment case development
• Experience managing partner relationships and reseller models
• Track record of driving adoption, retention and measurable client value
• Strong stakeholder management across technical, commercial and operational teams
• Data-driven approach to product performance and continuous improvement
• Experience defining service models and operational readiness standards
• Excellent prioritisation skills and ability to make clear trade-off decisions
