Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential measurement technology organization seeking a Software Engineer specializing in.NET and C# for a position based in Memmingen, Germany. This role focuses on critical modernization initiatives across their software infrastructure.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Observability & Performance: Design and implement a logging and monitoring framework based on OpenTelemetry; integrate it into existing applications; plan and execute load testing with corresponding dashboards
- Frontend Modernization: Transform proprietary closed-source components to open standards (preferably HTML5) or update them to current versions and platforms
- API Modernization: Migrate existing Microsoft WCF services to modern REST services using ASP.NET WebAPI
- Identity & Access Management: Transform the current Microsoft AD-based account management to a modern token-based authentication and authorization solution (preferably KeyCloak)
- Database Migration: Lead the strategic transformation from Oracle to PostgreSQL, including detailed planning and execution of data migration
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
- Experience in requirements management and (partial) project leadership of software projects is advantageous
- Advanced knowledge in object-oriented software development (.NET, C#, VB.net)
- Strong knowledge of web technologies and frameworks (ideally Blazor and Web API)
- Solid experience with Git, particularly in the context of.NET and C# application development
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases
- Independent working style with an agile mindset
- Service-oriented thinking, team capability, and enjoyment of working with people
- Analytical and structured approach to work, confident presence, and enthusiasm
- Very good German language skills are mandatory; good English skills in written and spoken form
