About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential cleantech organization in their search for a working student to support community management and online reputation activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media engagement, brand communication, and emerging optimization strategies within the renewable energy sector.
This role is based in Hamburg with flexible remote options and is designed to complement your university schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support the team in managing community engagement across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn by responding to comments and messages in a timely, on-brand manner
- Assist with operational review management by monitoring new reviews on Trustpilot and Google, reporting notable patterns, and helping implement appropriate response measures
- Conduct weekly monitoring of relevant video content on YouTube, tracking selected channels and posts, and providing structured observations to the team for timely follow-up
- Drive organic reach by actively engaging in the comments of newly published content, sparking discussions and increasing visibility
- Understand platform-specific dynamics and communicate appropriately for each channel while maintaining consistent brand voice
- Strategically place content in existing conversations about energy transition, solar, heat pumps, and related topics through meaningful, value-adding comments on other accounts
- Own a signature project around Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): develop approaches to format social media and community content for better visibility in AI-powered search results, test new formulation strategies, and help integrate GEO into ongoing content creation
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled at a German university with at least two semesters remaining in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Administration, or a comparable program
- Active social media user with intuitive understanding of how Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn differ in tone, format, and audience
- Strong written communication skills in German; English proficiency is advantageous
- First experience in community or social media management is a plus but not required—what matters most is your sense for language and people
- Familiarity with social media management tools like Agorapulse or comparable platforms is helpful
- Basic understanding of SEO or GEO is beneficial, but most importantly, you're eager to learn about Generative Engine Optimization as your own project and actively shape its implementation
- Interest in the energy transition and enthusiasm for making this topic more tangible every day
