About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in a search for a Solutions Architect based in Spain. Our client operates a global AI-powered platform serving major brands and retailers worldwide. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role focused on designing and delivering practical technical solutions to business problems.

The Solutions Architect will partner closely with engineering leadership and product management to translate business strategy into well-architected, secure, and cost-effective solutions across application, data, integration, presentation, and infrastructure domains. You'll work within an established architecture team to define and improve architectural patterns and standards, with particular emphasis on modern AI and GenAI practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end solution architectures for assigned products and initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise patterns and application security standards
  • Partner with engineering teams and product managers throughout the delivery lifecycle, providing architectural guidance and design reviews from discovery through production
  • Contribute to the definition, documentation, and evolution of strategic platforms, architectural patterns, and reference architectures
  • Design AI and GenAI solution architectures, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), LLM gateway patterns, model selection and evaluation, vector/embedding stores, and observability frameworks
  • Architect agentic workflows and multi-agent systems, including tool/function calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, orchestration, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls
  • Define how AI coding assistants and agentic developer tooling are adopted, governed, and integrated into the software development lifecycle
  • Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and decision records that make designs understandable and actionable
  • Build proofs of concept and reference implementations to validate architectural approaches
  • Act as a technical advisor and mentor to engineers on architecture, modern engineering practices, and emerging technology trends
  • Participate in evaluation and selection of new software products, platforms, and AI tooling

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • 6+ years of industry-relevant experience, including 4+ years as a solution, technical, or enterprise architect in a complex, ideally global, product or SaaS organization
  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing complex integration and distributed systems, including microservice and event-driven architectures
  • Proven ability to apply architecture standards and patterns to accelerate delivery while balancing strategic intent with pragmatic execution
  • Hands-on experience designing solutions on a major cloud platform (Google Cloud preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable)
  • Familiarity with Python, Angular, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and cloud technologies
  • Practical experience architecting AI/GenAI solutions in production or near-production settings, including RAG, LLM integration, evaluation, and operational concerns
  • Working knowledge of agentic AI patterns and frameworks, including agent orchestration, tool use, and MCP
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI coding assistants and their role in the modern SDLC
  • Awareness of responsible AI and data governance considerations, including handling sensitive data and model evaluation
  • Excellent written and spoken English with ability to present clearly to technical and business audiences

Desired qualifications:

  • Cloud architecture certification (e.g., Google Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
  • Experience in supply chain, quality, compliance, or regulated B2B domains
  • Experience with MLOps and ML model lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with observability tooling and data/analytics stacks
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing
  • Strong critical-thinking and design-thinking skills with collaborative approach to ambiguity
