Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse litigation caseload with minimal supervision, including partnership disputes, construction matters, homeowner association issues, buyer/seller disputes, and land use cases
  • Handle the full litigation lifecycle from initial pleadings through trial
  • Draft and argue motions in state court
  • Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes
  • Prepare cases for mediation and trial
  • Leverage AI tools ethically and responsibly to enhance efficiency (not replace substantive legal work)

What We're Looking For

  • Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California
  • 5+ years of California civil litigation experience
  • Strong autonomy and ability to manage cases independently
  • Proven track record handling discovery, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Business litigation background is welcomed and valued
  • Comfort with technology and AI as a practice enhancement tool
  • Must reside in Southern California for occasional in-person court appearances

Pay and Benefits

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $125,000 - $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience. The billable hour target is notably sustainable at 1,000-1,200 hours annually (approximately 100 hours monthly). Fewer hours may be considered for exceptional candidates, and additional compensation is available for those who prefer higher workloads. This is a fully remote position based in Los Angeles, California.
