Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential outdoor recreation organization in Dresden seeking a Department Lead for their Sports & Incentive division. This role transforms concepts into unforgettable experiences through event management and customer engagement.

You will serve as the central connection between clients, offerings, and memorable experiences:

• Consult with and inspire corporate clients, associations, school groups, and private customers to design tailored adventure concepts
• Develop individual proposals and event packages for team-building activities, corporate incentives, and group experiences
• Plan and execute outdoor sport and leisure events from initial inquiry through successful delivery
• Coordinate partners, staff, and service providers to ensure seamless event execution
• Take on-site responsibility during events, ensuring every activity becomes a standout experience
• Manage diverse offerings including mountain biking experiences, archery, geocaching, team challenges, and seasonal winter programs
• Develop new experience formats and attractive packages for corporate teams and groups
• Monitor trends in outdoor recreation and team-building sectors
• Contribute to marketing and presentation of service offerings

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks someone with personality and drive over a perfect resume:

• Background in event management, tourism, sports, recreation, or venue operations—or relevant transferable experience as a career changer
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
• Comfortable engaging with people and building client relationships
• Enthusiasm for consulting, sales, and customer interaction
• Ability to inspire others about ideas and experiences
• Independent work style with ownership mentality
• Valid Class B driver's license
• Flexibility to work during events and particularly throughout the winter season
• German language proficiency required for this Dresden-based position

This role offers significant creative freedom to build a growing division, combining summer and winter activities with variety between sales, event coordination, organization, and outdoor experiences. You'll work with short decision paths in a dynamic team environment—this is about movement and real experiences rather than traditional office routine.

Full-time or part-time arrangements available by discussion. Start date as soon as possible.
