Workday Contract and Journeys Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise client seeking an experienced Workday Contract and Journeys Consultant for a 6+ month contract engagement with possible extension. This is a 100% remote position based in the United States.

Our client is undertaking a global contract automation initiative spanning 14 countries, requiring deep configuration expertise beyond basic reporting capabilities. You'll work alongside internal HRIS teams and implementation partners to deliver sophisticated recruiting automation and employee journey solutions.

Responsibilities

Contract and Offer Letter Configuration:

• Configure and optimize Workday Recruiting subprocesses including Offer, Employment Agreement, and Onboarding workflows
• Build and maintain dynamic offer letters and employment contracts using Workday Docs with calculated fields and real-time data tokens for compensation, job profiles, and locations
• Design multi-level approval chains and manage security permission domains for sensitive document visibility
• Maintain integrations with external e-signature platforms for candidate execution
• Troubleshoot document generation errors, test complex conditional rules, and ensure seamless data handoff from pre-hire to active worker profiles

Employee Journeys Implementation:

• Design, build, test, and maintain personalized employee journeys using Workday's configuration tools and templates
• Integrate Workday tasks, external links, and third-party applications to streamline key employee moments including onboarding, manager transitions, and role changes
• Configure audience segmentation based on location, job level, department, and demographic data
• Partner with HR business partners, internal communications, and leadership to digitize training, policy rollouts, and engagement campaigns
• Support both partner-led EMEA phase 1 implementation and subsequent global rollout

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration experience
• Specific expertise in Workday Recruiting and Journeys modules
• Proven global or multi-country contract/offer letter configuration experience
• Deep technical proficiency in Workday Onboarding, Workday Docs, calculated fields, and business process framework (BPF)
• Strong experience with notification and document generation configuration
• Familiarity with global and regional compliance requirements for employment contracts
• Experience with e-signature platform integrations

• Strong requirement-gathering abilities to translate HR policies into automated system workflows
• Detail-oriented approach to complex configuration and implementation projects
• Excellent troubleshooting and testing capabilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with HRIS teams, implementation partners, and HR stakeholders
