National Personal Lines Practice Leader

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurance brokerage in their search for a National Personal Lines Practice Leader. This is a fully remote executive role based anywhere in the United States, reporting to senior leadership within a rapidly growing national organization.

Our client operates across multiple states with a substantial multi-agency platform. They are building enterprise-level capabilities while preserving local market expertise, and they need a strategic leader who can define the vision and direction for their Personal Lines business nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year Personal Lines strategy aligned with enterprise growth objectives
• Define market segmentation, specialization priorities, and value propositions to drive growth and differentiation
• Lead the evolution of the Personal Lines operating model for scalability, consistency, and operational excellence
• Advise executive leadership on industry trends, market opportunities, competitive dynamics, and strategic risks
• Partner with regional leaders and business development teams to drive organic growth and market penetration
• Develop segment-specific sales strategies, client engagement models, and growth initiatives
• Support complex client opportunities, large account pursuits, and cross-selling efforts
• Serve as the organization's leading Personal Lines subject matter expert and external ambassador
• Build and strengthen executive-level carrier relationships to expand market access and improve placement outcomes
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and carrier forums
• Establish enterprise standards for technical excellence, specialization, and professional development
• Develop capability models, succession plans, and leadership development strategies
• Mentor emerging leaders and foster communities of practice across the organization
• Drive adoption of enterprise standards while balancing local market needs in a matrixed environment

What We're Looking For

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within Personal Lines insurance, brokerage, agency, carrier, or related environments
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale growth, strategy, and transformation initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
• Proven ability to influence executives, build followership, and lead collaboratively across complex structures
• Deep knowledge of Personal Lines products, markets, distribution, carrier relationships, and industry trends
• Experience developing market segmentation strategies, client niche strategies, or specialization models within Personal Lines
• Strong track record of building high-performing teams, developing future leaders, and strengthening organizational capability
• Willingness to travel periodically as business needs require
• Ability to pass a criminal background check where permitted by law
