Red Hat Ansible Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Red Hat Ansible Engineer to lead automation initiatives across their IT infrastructure. In this role, you will:

• Design and implement comprehensive automation strategies using Ansible, including writing playbooks, configuring Ansible Tower, and integrating with existing tools and platforms
• Manage configuration of servers, networks, and software across the organization, ensuring all configurations meet established standards and policies
• Automate software deployment across multiple environments and collaborate with development teams to integrate Ansible into the full development lifecycle
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Ansible environment and provide technical support to IT staff
• Ensure all automation practices comply with security policies and regulations, automating security tasks such as patch deployment and system hardening
• Create and maintain documentation for all configurations, playbooks, and procedures, and prepare regular performance and compliance reports
• Train and mentor IT staff on Ansible usage and automation principles

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years managing Ansible environments
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation strongly preferred
• Deep expertise with Ansible components including playbooks, roles, and Ansible Tower
• Strong Linux system administration skills, shell scripting experience, and networking knowledge
• Understanding of security principles and compliance requirements
• Experience with other configuration management or IT automation tools is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and travel as needed
