About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential nonprofit organization focused on international development and entrepreneurship support in East Africa. We are seeking a Volunteer Entrepreneurship Program Operations Coordinator to work remotely from Germany, committing a minimum of 15 hours per week.

This is a volunteer position offering meaningful hands-on experience in program operations, entrepreneur support, and international collaboration. You will work directly with senior leadership to coordinate a comprehensive entrepreneurship program, progressively taking ownership of day-to-day operations as you develop in the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of the entrepreneurship program, including outreach, onboarding, training, mentoring, monitoring and follow-up
• Transform strategic priorities into actionable plans, timelines and completed deliverables while maintaining program documentation and tracking systems
• Coordinate volunteers, mentors and contributors by clarifying expectations and following up on tasks and deadlines
• Communicate professionally with program participants, applicants, partners and stakeholders; support meetings, workshops and program activities
• Monitor participant progress, deadlines and operational issues to ensure deliverables meet quality standards
• Identify upcoming needs, gaps and risks proactively; propose practical solutions and escalate matters requiring senior decision-making
• Continuously improve processes, templates and workflows while progressively assuming greater operational ownership of the program
• Develop capability to oversee ongoing program activities independently, including during leadership absences

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience in program or project coordination, entrepreneurship support, NGOs, education, community development or team coordination
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Proactive, ownership-oriented mindset—you work independently, follow through consistently and do not require repeated reminders
• Ability to coordinate and motivate people, set clear expectations and follow up respectfully but persistently
• Clear and professional written and spoken English; effective cross-cultural communication skills
• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities—you anticipate issues, propose practical solutions and know when to escalate
• Interest in entrepreneurship and social impact combined with willingness to learn program operations and assume progressive responsibility
• Reliability and ability to commit at least 15 hours per week in a remote environment
• Experience with early-stage entrepreneurs, international teams or social-impact initiatives is advantageous, but demonstrated capability and commitment are most important
