Consumer Loan Processor – Remote in FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, VA, TX, CO

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential regional banking client in their search for a Consumer Loan Processor to join their operations team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located in FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, VA, TX, or CO.

In this role, you'll take ownership of the consumer loan process from application through closing, managing a pipeline of loan applications while ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional service to both customers and loan officers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming consumer loan closing and title requests through the loan origination system for products including HELOCs, manufactured homes, and loan modifications
• Review loan approvals, supporting documentation, and internal systems to ensure proper due diligence is completed prior to closing
• Evaluate flood determinations, title work, insurance documents, settlement statements, funding documentation, initial disclosures, and appraisals
• Request documentation from customers and lenders as needed for complete loan submissions
• Order third-party services including tax transcripts, title work, flood determinations, surveys, payoffs, VIN verifications, and insurance declarations
• Obtain all required conditions as established by underwriting teams
• Maintain regular communication with customers and lenders regarding document requests and loan status using verbal and written channels
• Coordinate closing dates with lenders, customers, and closing agents
• Manage your pipeline to meet service level agreements and critical loan dates
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the loan origination system
• Submit complete and accurate loan files to the consumer loan closing department

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred
• Experience: 1-3 years of consumer loan documentation experience required; loan processing with real estate transactions strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills with ability to handle simultaneous tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong customer service orientation for both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Problem-solving skills with sound judgment on when to escalate issues
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in processes, systems, and priorities
• Must be located in FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, VA, TX, or CO
• Secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions
• Reliable private internet connection (cable or fiber preferred; no cellular hotspots)
