Technical Monitoring Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking a Technical Monitoring Analyst to join their operations team in Colombia or Mexico. This is a mission-critical role ensuring the reliability and performance of a high-volume payments platform serving merchants across Latin America.

As the first line of defense, you'll monitor system health, triage incidents in real time, and partner with engineering and support teams to maintain platform uptime in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor platform infrastructure, application health, and payment transaction flows to detect alerts and anomalies
• Triage incoming incidents, classify severity levels (S0–S2), and execute initial troubleshooting including log reviews and metric analysis
• Escalate unresolved issues to technical teams with actionable context, impact assessments, logs, and screenshots
• Execute functional tests across merchant environments (checkout flows, payment integrations) in Production, Staging, and Sandbox
• Support deployment activities by executing pre- and post-deployment validation checklists
• Manage operational support tickets and communications via ticketing systems, keeping stakeholders updated during active incidents
• Perform routine merchant operational configurations including payment method settings and parameter adjustments
• Document incidents, investigations, and findings to improve runbooks and maintain reporting standards
• Track key operational KPIs including MTTD (Mean Time to Detect), escalation response time, and SLA compliance

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

• 1–3 years in Operations Monitoring, Technical Support, or NOC roles within online payment systems or fintech environments
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana, Rootly, Opsgenie) and ticketing systems (Zendesk, Jira)
• Proven ability to perform incident triage, runbook execution, log reviews, and basic metric analysis
• Basic understanding of APIs, request/response cycles, web application workflows, and simple SQL queries
• Familiarity with log management solutions (AWS CloudWatch, Splunk) and testing tools (Postman)
• English proficiency (A2–B1 minimum) to read technical documentation, update tickets, and communicate during incidents
• Comfortable working in a 24/7 rotating shift environment and participating in on-call schedules
