Senior Strategist

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential creative agency seeking a Senior Strategist to join their London team. In this role, you will serve as a key strategic voice, collaborating with client services, creative, data, media, and specialist teams to transform business and customer challenges into effective solutions.

You will work on a major Pan-European automotive account, developing strategy across the complete customer journey—from brand consideration and lead generation through lifecycle CRM, digital experiences, and retail activations. Your work will span brief development through to delivery, using customer understanding, data, research, and cultural insight to provide clear creative direction.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing strategic thinking across projects from brief to creative development, client presentation, and effectiveness measurement
• Translating business, customer, cultural, and behavioral data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
• Creating compelling strategic and creative briefs for CRM, digital, social, search, and dealership assets
• Supporting end-to-end CRM communications including automated maintenance reminders, seasonal campaigns, and owner messaging
• Developing consideration and conversion activations for individual vehicle models across UK and European markets
• Contributing to digital servicing journey development to increase consideration through effective content
• Applying understanding of modern search behavior, including Generative Engine Optimization and LLM-ready content
• Building trusted client relationships and presenting strategic thinking confidently to stakeholders at all levels
• Contributing to pitches, thought leadership, and new business opportunities
• Supporting junior strategy team members and raising the quality of strategic output

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Strategist or Senior Strategist within an agency environment (automotive, mobility, or Pan-European client experience is advantageous)
• Experience developing strategic thinking from brief through creative development and delivery
• Strong understanding of customer behavior, customer journeys, and integrated communications
• Experience across brand, communications, CRM/lifecycle marketing, digital, social, search, or customer experience
• Confidence presenting strategic recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
• Ability to interpret data and research and transform it into meaningful insight
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information
• Collaborative experience working with Creative, Client Services, Data, Media, or specialist teams
• Understanding of modern search trends, AI, LLMs, and Generative Engine Optimization (beneficial)

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive with the market for this level of strategic role in London.
