About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential AI research organization seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to evaluate and improve clinical reasoning in large language models. This is a remote contract role based in Austria, offering an intellectually stimulating opportunity to shape how AI systems approach complex psychiatric scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate how advanced AI models reason through complex psychiatric cases and clinical decision-making
- Design expert-level diagnostic challenges and reasoning tasks that expose current model limitations
- Develop gold-standard clinical answers with transparent reasoning pathways
- Focus on edge cases, nuanced differential diagnoses, and comprehensive risk assessment
- Collaborate directly with AI research teams to improve model performance
- Document and provide feedback on common failure modes in clinical reasoning
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Completed psychiatry residency through ACGME, AOA, or recognized national equivalent
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Active board certification in psychiatry: ABPN, FRCPC, MRCPsych, FRANZCP, or recognized national equivalent
- Active, unrestricted medical license
- Minimum 3 years of independent practice post-residency
- Current practice in an accredited or government-licensed clinical setting
- Location in Austria, the US, UK, Europe, or Australia
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ hours per week of direct patient contact in current practice
- Subspecialty expertise in Addiction Psychiatry, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
- Experience developing or serving as examiner for OSCE or similar clinical assessments
- Faculty appointment in a department of psychiatry (current or within the past 2 years)
