Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential GreenTech organization based in München that is seeking a motivated working student to support energy optimization and software development initiatives. In this role, you will:
- Contribute to the ongoing development of energy management and optimization software solutions
- Support the design of new features, optimization procedures, and use cases
- Analyze, evaluate, and specify functional and technical requirements
- Create and maintain technical specifications and product documentation
- Conduct, document, and automate software testing for quality assurance
- Develop and maintain test cases for new and existing functionalities
- Validate simulation results and evaluate optimization algorithms
- Perform simulations, data analyses, and plausibility checks
- Prepare and present analysis and simulation findings
- Research new technologies, market trends, and regulatory requirements in the energy sector
- Collaborate closely with product management, development teams, and customers on product evolution
What We're Looking For
Our client seeks a working student who brings both technical skills and passion for the energy transition:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field
- Programming experience in Python and familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Enthusiasm for the energy transition, energy systems, and innovative software solutions
- Ideally, initial knowledge in renewable energy, energy management, or energy economics
- Analytical thinking with structured work approach and enjoyment in understanding complex relationships
- Strong technical understanding and interest in data-driven solutions
- Independent, reliable work style with willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks
- Team player with cooperative and solution-oriented approach
- Enjoyment of research, analysis, and solving technical challenges
- Very good German skills (minimum C1 level) and good English skills (minimum B2 level)
- Knowledge in data analysis is advantageous
- Interest in optimization methods, mathematical models, and simulations
