Healthcare Staffing & Outreach Specialist

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential U.S.-based home healthcare organization, is looking for a Healthcare Staffing & Outreach Specialist to support facility outreach, business development, recruitment initiatives, and administrative coordination.

In this remote role, you will conduct outbound calling and relationship-building with healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, caseworkers, and other referral sources. You will introduce services, identify staffing and patient care opportunities, and help connect available healthcare professionals with facilities and patients who need support.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Conduct outbound calls to healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, caseworkers, and potential referral partners
• Introduce home healthcare and staffing services clearly and professionally
• Identify facility staffing needs and potential patient care opportunities
• Communicate with hospital and clinic caseworkers regarding private duty nursing services for pediatric patients
• Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare contacts and referral sources
• Conduct consistent follow-ups with prospective facilities and contacts
• Track outreach activity, responses, opportunities, and next steps
• Support recruitment-focused outreach for Medicaid waiver patients and private duty nursing opportunities
• Assist with matching available staff to appropriate patient care or staffing opportunities
• Maintain organized records of staffing needs, opportunities, and follow-ups
• Assist with healthcare credentialing when within your experience level
• Contact insurance companies regarding credentialing requirements and status
• Follow up on outstanding credentialing information and requirements
• Prepare and submit end-of-day updates and reports as required

Work hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Daylight Time, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Previous experience in cold calling, outbound outreach, business development, recruitment, appointment setting, or similar role
• Strong professional phone communication skills
• Confident initiating conversations with new healthcare and business contacts
• Comfortable conducting a high volume of outbound outreach
• Strong follow-up skills and persistence
• Ability to explain services clearly and professionally
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Recruitment or staffing experience
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Results-oriented and comfortable working toward productivity targets
• Ability to provide NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding
• Available to attend video meetings with camera on when required

Highly preferred experience:

• Healthcare credentialing experience
• Healthcare business development or outreach experience
• Home healthcare or healthcare staffing experience
• Experience with Medicaid waiver programs
• Private duty nursing staffing or recruitment experience
• Experience communicating with hospital or clinic caseworkers
• Experience contacting insurance companies regarding credentialing
• Familiarity with healthcare management systems and CRM platforms
• Experience with VoIP or cloud-based phone systems

Technical requirements:

• Reliable laptop or desktop computer
• Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps)
• Noise-canceling headset
• Working webcam for virtual meetings
• Quiet and professional work environment
