About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health technology client in München seeking a Junior Software Engineer with a focus on iOS development. Our client is building a modern digital ecosystem in the healthcare space, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your mobile development skills within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a hybrid setup, contributing to an iOS application that serves real users while participating in knowledge-sharing forums that will accelerate your professional growth. This is an ideal position for someone ready to move from learning fundamentals to shipping production code with mentorship and support.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance existing features and develop new functionality for an iOS application
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend developers, and other mobile engineers in a cross-functional team
  • Write and maintain automated UI tests using XCUITest/XCTest frameworks
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing
  • Take ownership of your code's quality, reliability, and performance
  • Contribute ideas and problem-solving approaches to product development

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proficient written and spoken English with clear communication skills
  • Interest in producing high-quality software through testing, code reviews, and clean coding practices
  • Good understanding of development toolset: your OS, Xcode, debugging tools, and AI-assisted development
  • Appreciation for great mobile UX and collaboration with designers
  • Basic knowledge of Swift, building UI on iOS (UIKit and/or SwiftUI), concurrency basics (async/await, main-thread safety), reactive programming concepts (RxSwift), version control (Git), and unit testing
  • Positive work ethic and willingness to learn and develop professionally

Nice to Have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with RxSwift, memory management, and architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM)
  • Experience consuming REST APIs
  • Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
  • Personal projects, App Store releases, or open-source contributions
  • Experience with Scrum methodology
  • German language skills
