Senior AI/ML Engineer*

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing technology consulting firm seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join their Generative AI practice. Our client takes a software engineering-first approach to AI, building production-grade systems that solve real business problems with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and document intelligence capabilities.

This is a remote opportunity based in the United States. You'll work directly with enterprise clients to architect and deploy scalable GenAI solutions on modern cloud platforms, taking projects from prototype through production deployment.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and implement end-to-end GenAI applications using Python, LangChain, and LlamaIndex on cloud infrastructure
• Develop advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and semantic search systems using vector databases
• Lead LLM and embedding fine-tuning efforts to optimize domain-specific performance
• Build and manage agentic workflows that automate complex multi-step reasoning tasks
• Collaborate directly with clients to translate business requirements into high-performance AI architectures
• Apply MLOps best practices to ensure efficient model serving, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Solve for real-world production constraints including latency, error handling, and cost optimization

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Proven track record of deploying GenAI products to production environments
• Mastery of Python and shell scripting
• Extensive experience with modern LLMs (Gemini, GPT-4, LLaMA) and deep knowledge of prompt engineering and fine-tuning
• Expertise in vector databases and implementing semantic search solutions
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and building scalable software architectures
• Proficiency in LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar orchestration frameworks
• Strong software engineering foundation with clean, maintainable code practices
• Knowledge of data engineering and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with classical machine learning (neural networks, training, tuning)
